Sheryl Glick, a former New York City Teacher and trained Reiki Practitioner, will offer private
healing sessions at the East Rock Professional Building.
Sheryl believes her practice is unique because
she blends ancient spiritual concepts with her healing techniques and
psychic medium readings.
Reiki is a method of hands-on healing that addresses both chronic and acute conditions, gently promoting
energy balance of the
total body. Reiki does not replace traditional medical procedure, but works in conjunction to enhance
personal well-being.
Practitioners develop skills in sensing balancing human energy. This ancient healing method originated
with Eastern Spiritual
traditions and was made world famous by a Japanese Catholic Priest, Dr.Mikato Usui in the early 1900's.
The treatments help
develop positive states of mind so we can attract positive life experiences, and deal with problems more easily.
For some people Reiki is simply a series of healing hand movements, which like Yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation skills
improve the physical and mental quality of life. For others it may help to accelerate their spiritual growth.
For me it is both, and also an expression of loving kindness, empowerment, and a connection to a loving higher
source that has our own best intentions at heart.
Reiki healing is known to provide relief for many conditions, but like any form of healing, individual
responses may be different. Reiki works on all levels- the mental, physical and emotional. Most clients find
Reiki treatments relaxing, uplifting, and generally, the quality of life is improved |
